Common Questions
California's rules differ by window and vehicle. Review California Vehicle Code section 26708 and confirm the film and placement requirements for your vehicle before choosing tint. A film's stated VLT alone does not establish legal compliance.
Most vehicles are completed in 2–4 hours. We recommend leaving the vehicle with us for the day so the film can cure properly before you drive. Same-day appointments are often available.
Service life varies with the film, installation, exposure, and care. Ask which film is included in your quote and whether any written warranty terms apply to it.
Our ceramic films are signal-transparent — they will not interfere with GPS, Bluetooth, satellite radio, or 5G connectivity. Metallic films from other shops can block signals; we never use them.
Windshield film has separate restrictions under California Vehicle Code section 26708. Confirm the permitted film and placement for your vehicle before booking; a clear appearance or stated VLT is not a guarantee of compliance.
All makes and models — sedans, SUVs, trucks, sports cars, and exotics. We have custom-cut patterns for thousands of vehicles so there is no guesswork and no wasted film.
Window tint, explained
Window tint is not only about making the glass darker. The right film and shade can change cabin comfort, glare, privacy, and the way your vehicle feels during everyday San Diego driving.
We help compare the practical differences between carbon and ceramic film options, then scope the vehicle by glass, use case, desired appearance, and California requirements. The goal is a clean result that fits how you use the car—not a shade chosen in isolation.
A tint plan can prioritize heat and glare management, a more private cabin, a consistent appearance across the vehicle, or a clear windshield-focused option. We explain what each part of the plan is intended to do before installation.
The installation itself is only one part of the experience. Film selection, computer-cut patterns, careful glass preparation, cure guidance, and a clear handoff all contribute to how the finish looks and lives with the vehicle.
Start with the cabin conditions you want to improve on commutes, road trips, and daily parking.
Choose a consistent look that complements the vehicle without losing sight of the glass and shade details.
We walk through glass coverage, film direction, and the next step so the quote is easy to understand.
